Fundraising Plan & Board Members

The IM ABLE Foundation began its official fundraising efforts in November, 2007 with the IM ABLE Kickoff Event which raised almost $16,000. After such success, the Foundation will continue this fundraiser as the “Are You Able?” Challenge Benefit. The benefit will raise funds and awareness about the organization, and money raised from this event will be used to purchase handcycles, racing wheelchairs, and other adaptive modalities for individuals with disabilities. This event, as well as other smaller events will continue on an annual basis. The Foundation will continue to finance the planned growth and development of the organization through a fundraising campaign. Initially, leadership gifts will be sought privately from local, regional and national businesses, individuals and foundations. Once the goal of $100,000 has been raised, solicitation of leadership gifts will continue, but sustaining the organization will include reaching out to community partners and friends who are aligned with the mission of the Foundation.
